Enough Said

What in the world is there to say?
What is there to say anything about?
Who is there to say anything at all?
Who is here to say anything about?

But nothing important is constantly being said
When everything worth saying cannot be said
When saying nothing is worth a million words
Saying, for its own sake, is now the standard.

Silence says everything that needs to be said
But we do love to hear ourselves say things
So we keep saying and saying and saying
When anything but saying would be best.

How I would love to refrain from saying anything
How I wish to be heard without saying everything
I just can't say much about the matter anymore
I might have already said way, way too much.
